Our food-grade Apis Cerana beeswax is melted at low temperatures to retain their antimicrobial benefits. It is also unbleached and unfiltered with no additives. This is the wax we use in our Leather Care and it is the raw material for a lot of things you might otherwise buy in a jar.

Anyone making their own things. Beeswax wraps, lip balm, salves, candles, furniture polish, waxed thread. Also the starting point for a lot of school holiday projects.

Ingredients: natural beeswax. Net weight 125g.

Melt in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Do not heat it directly in a pan.

What is the melting point?

Beeswax melts at around 62 to 64 degrees Celsius. Keep it well below smoking point.

Can I eat it?

It is food grade, so incidental contact is fine. It is not meant to be eaten on its own.

Is this the same wax as in your Leather Care?

Yes, the same food grade Apis Cerana beeswax.

Why is it yellow and not white?

Because we have not bleached it. White beeswax has been chemically bleached.
