Our anti-mould patches is the easiest and most cost-effective way to prevent mould growth in hot and humid climates. Using natural ingredients, they are safe to use, eco-friendly and a convenient alternative to synthetic and toxic products. Our little patches work by diffusing plant-derived essential oils such as mustard and clove, that inhibit mould and mildew growth. Simply place the patches with your leather item in an enclosed space such as a dustbag or box. Done!

Silica gel is the usual answer, and it has two problems. A tiny sachet holds very little water before it saturates. And too much silica gel swings the other way, creating an environment dry enough to crack leather.

Diffuses plant derived essential oils including mustard and clove. There is a strong mustard scent when you first open the pack so avoid smelling when opening. It dissipates quickly and does not transfer onto your items, so nothing to worry about. Net content 10 patches.

These prevent growth. They will not remove mould that has already taken hold. For that, clean first with our No-Mould Leather Cleaner.

For an enclosed space around 25 x 25 x 15cm (e.g., shoe box, storage box, dust bag, etc.), use two patches. Scale up for larger spaces.
Mark the patch with the month you started it, 1 to 12, using a permanent marker.
Replace every 2 - 3 months. For frequently used items or constant wet weather, consider replacing patches every 1 - 2 months.

Reseal the packet after opening, press the air out, and store somewhere cool and dry. Use the rest within 3 months.

Why is there a strong smell?

There is an initial strong scent due to the concentrated EO we use. Don't worry it will not transfer onto the item, and also the smell will dissipate quickly. Hence open away from your nose.

Will they make my bag smell?

No. There is no smell transfer and no staining. The vacuum pack smells concentrated when you first open it, which settles quickly. You can air the patches for a few minutes before using them.

Will they clear mould that is already there?

No. Clean it off first with our No-Mould Leather Cleaner, dry the item fully, then use patches to stop it returning.

How should I be storing my bags?

Breathable dust bags, never plastic, and patches inside each one. The full storage guide.

How many do I need for a wardrobe?

Patches are sized for enclosed spaces like boxes and dust bags. For a whole wardrobe, our AirGuard+ Diffuser treats the space and the patches go inside individual bags.

Are they safe around children and pets?

They sit inside closed storage rather than in open rooms. Keep them out of reach as you would any household product.

Have been using these patches since 2024 and is effective in preventing mould growth on my leather bags. Replace every 1-2 months. Rainy season will need to replace often.
